On the occasion of the upcoming national holiday August 2 - Republic Day, an exhibition has been set up in the lobby of the Library with works dedicated to the two historical events that shaped Macedonian statehood - the Ilinden Uprising (1903) and the First Session of ASNOM (1944).

Through photographs, books and other publications, the exhibition reminds us of the struggle, sacrifice and ideals of the Macedonian people for freedom, dignity and their own state.

August 2, 1903 and August 2, 1944 are symbols of the centuries-old struggle for freedom and self-determination.

Eternal glory to all the heroes who contributed to these historical milestones – thanks to them, today we live in our own, independent and free country!
